-Demographers, beware: Danielia Cotton doesn't fit neatly into any box. She's an African American, from a nearly all-white town in New Jersey.
She's a singer and songwriter who can sound like a blues balladeer on one track, and a hard-rock wailer on the next. She's influenced by gospel music, but she's also a convert to Judaism.

Dirk Quinn is a Philadelphia based jazz/funk guitarist who has utilized nearly a decade of constant performing to develop a unique and progressive
style. His band’s recently released sophomore album entitled “QuinnTet” features “thoughtful, original melodies flowing seamlessly over groove-heavy rhythms; intricate song structures giving
way to strongly expressive, organic improvisations.”
Drawing inspiration from music of all types, his solo acoustic sound has been compared to the guitar “pyrotechnics” of Keller Williams and Michael Hedges, while his full band compositions
bear resemblances that range from the honest, urban funk of Soulive to the brave experimentation of Medeski, Martin and Wood. Being accompanied by his full band, this show is sure to be
a sight to be seen at Puck.

Jared Costa
Often drawing comparisons to the likes of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Johnny Cash, JARED COSTA is the quintessential acoustic artist. A rare blend of meaningful lyrics and attractive melodies, he
captivates audiences with an incredible live energy.
Charles Havira
A bell that is true, sounds strong and sure in the morning, and rings the same the whole day through. Since the day he sang his first song the ring of his music has only gotten truer. Weaving tales
of life and finding your way through it, Charles has remained an uncompromising musician who always puts music first.
With a strong voice, solid song writing, and sure handed guitar playing, Charles's music is a mosaic of influences that is always delivered in his signature soulful style.

It would be far too easy to classify the band's music as "blues rock," although that may be the first genre that comes to mind when
listening. According to Chris, “It’s clearly rooted in rock and blues music but we incorporate other elements that in the end make our music something unique- or at the very least, entertaining.”
Unique and entertaining might be an understatement as to the music industry, the band is being praised as "a breath of fresh air" in an oversaturated market of unoriginality.

Run To Sandy
The Once Was
Sweet Alkaline
Saturday
January 24
|
|
Run to Sandy
Run to Sandy is a rock and roll band from Bucks County, PA. The band was formed from the smoldering ashes of several post-punk, neo-corporate professional existences (day
jobs), rising like a Phoenix over the hearts and minds of a people so desperate for contact. This music brushed their faces like an elegiac symphony --- a combustion of convention that settled
like snow on a flat, heartland field.
The Once Was
Hailing from Moorestown, New Jersey, The Once Was is an eclectic four-piece indie rock band descending from the creative zealot that is the home recording studio.
Collaborating existential lyrical themes with progressive indie-pop sensibilities and theoretical musical notions, the band brings an energetic and surprising live show to audiences and enthusiasts
alike. The Once Was is currently recording their full length, due for release in March (2009).
Sweet Alkaline
Sweet Alkaline plays straight-up, song-driven” tune rock” with no gimmicks, no phony image and no apologies for the occasional ballad. Chocked full of big hooks,
tight harmonies and undeniable musicianship, Sweet Alkaline simply delivers good playin’ and good singin’!

Eric Brace & Peter Cooper
Eric Brace is the lead singer for the acclaimed roots-rock band Last Train Home, and he joins forces with fellow Nashvillian Peter Cooper to create a powerful acoustic duo. Trading off lead vocals
and harmonies, while entertaining with an endless supply of stories and songs, these two create something much greater than the sum of the two parts.
They bring their own tunes to the party, but also have a choice selection of covers from such artists as Jim Lauderdale, Todd Snider, David Olney, Eric Taylor, Kevin Gordon, and others. Two guitars,
two voices, greats songs, great show. Easy as that."
Midnight Gypsies
The acoustic trio of June Moon, Frank Porter and Bobby Dreher,
weave the magic into the Midnight Gypsies muse-ic...
A blending of the essence, of the free-spirited 60's vibe with the edgyiness of today's modern sound. Rock,pop,blues,neo-acoustic folk...lyrical poetry...it's all there.
Octavia
When was the last time you heard one woman play wicked harp in a unique style with unnaturally Long notes, sing emotionally charged sultry powerful vocals, and play finger style
guitar? Perhaps when they headlined at the Lehigh River Blues Jam Festival 2008.
"Octavia and the Earthblood Blues Band" perform original and rare traditional blues. Electric and slide guitarist TurboKing Bill Wasch's blistering solos stand toe-to-toe with
Octavia's harmonica pyrotechnics. Receiving consistent positive audience feedback, the quality of Octavia and Earthblood's seasoned musicians and original material is both engaging and unforgettable.

David Ivory Presents

the entertainment spotlight.
BOX FIVE
BOX FIVE is the brainchild of Mary Bichner, a 26-year-old composer and performer hailing from Philadelphia, PA. Combining Mozart-inspired chord progressions and bratty Brit-rock hooks into a
musical succotash she likes to call classipop, Mary hopes to breathe new life into the calcified world of 'radio-friendly' contemporary music through her memorable melodies and solid songwriting.

Fredrico
This is what the Grateful Dead drummer, Mickey Hart says about Fredrico:
"He is innovative player & inventor of percussion instruments, who is also a cutting edge poet, lyricist, elocutionist and a skilled producer of music."
Jon Delise
Jon has extensive experience in songwriting and performing. Jon has written songs for the indie band Starting Line to Patti Labelle and has papered on Good Morning America
and The Tony Danz show. A great performer and singer Jon wraps his songs around stories of personal life and topics that matter to everyone.
SPiN
Already one of the hardest working indie rock bands on the East Coast, the Philadelphia based SPiN is quickly expanding beyond its regional home base of Philly, Jersey, New York and Delaware and

Milton & The Devil's Party
Friday
February 20
|
|
Jonah Smith
It’s maybe no surprise that New York-based Jonah Smith came into his own as singer/songwriter/pianist in the world’s biggest melting pot. Check in with Smith in a subterranean Downtown jazz club,
sit for a while and listen to him play—his hat cocked sideways, his manner shy, his humor dry—and you’ll see that he, like New York, is a little bit of everything: a seasoned player, he’s a little
bit jazz; a heartfelt vocalist, he’s definitely soul; a talented balladeer and storyteller, he’s even a little Nashville. Yet, essentially, at its essence, it’s rock and roll.

Milton and The Devil's Party
Milton and The Devil's Party (Transit of Venus) is a rock band for thinking people. Their catchy tunes and clever lyrics justify comparisons to such artists as The Kinks, The Smiths, R.E.M., Elvis
Costello, XTC, and The Go-Betweens.

lyrics and attitude kept me there to the end."
Auburn
Auburn is a fairly new 5 piece band starting to gain a lot of attention from listeners, with pop-rock influences and catchy melodies. Their lyrics convey the meaning

of original music and their unique and entertaining performances are quickly gaining respect in local communities as a band not to be missed!
EverAfter Band
The EverAfter band combines the sultry, richly textured voice of lead vocalist Lynn Phelps with the charismatic guitar playing of locally acclaimed rock-blues guitarist Warren Braverman.
The diverse influences of these two commanding and prolific musicians converge to become a single palette of compelling depth and color for the band's folk-blues-rock cover and original repertoire.
Creative acoustic renditions of Led Zeppelin's "Thank You" and “Kashmir” along with their orchestration and arrangement of the old folk song “Trouble So Hard” by Vera Hall (Alan
Lomex recordings) show EverAfter’s passion to continually re-invent songs of the past, leaving no stone unturned for a modern, fresh perspective.
The duo’s collaborations are rife with new interpretations of classic hits as they meld folk, rock and blues into a new musical recipe ... for today and EverAfter.

Big Chill
Do you remember waiting for the release of that awesome new album by your favorite rock band? Way back before "iTUNES," "iPODS," and "iHAVE NO IDEA WHY
I'M LISTENING TO THE JONAS BROTHERS," you trekked to the record store every day (uphill both ways) to ask the kid with bad acne behind the counter if "it" came in yet? Remember when
your biggest concerns were your music, your hair, and whether or not your car would start?
Well, Big Chill takes you back to those times. From the soaring harmonies of Left Banke's "Walk Away Renee," to the driving rock of the Pretenders "Middle of the Road," to the
cool groove of Santana's "Smooth," the vocals, thumping bass and drums, flashy lead guitar, Hammond organ and raunchy saxophone of Big Chill help you remember more than good music, they
help you remember a cooler time. A time when your hair was longer, life was simpler, and rock and roll mattered just a little bit more.
Hey, growing up is OK and life is good (at least the car starts now), but from time to time, remember to take a trip back. Hang out with Big Chill and "Forget who you are. Remember who you
were."

Derek Chafin
Singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, band leader, producer, record company founder - all of the above. Derek’s music is about what a song can be and where the medium is going. Challenging,
artful, soulful, brutal and uplifting, but always at its core - tuneful.
Whether it was fronting the visceral beauty of the critically acclaimed bands The Darrows, X’s+O’s, Head, and Superstatic or on his first solo record - acoustic with chamber orchestra accompaniment,
or on his second which blurs the lines between acoustic and electronic, all contain the elements that have become emblematic of his sound: dynamic songwriting, beautiful melodies and up lifting,
hypnotic vocals. In keeping with the music, the live presentation is never the normal fare. An experience, cutting edge, hard to draw easy comparisons, and always changing.

Keith Garner
Keith Garner's songs convey stories of hope found in the struggles of everyday life. The backbone of his music is his soulful voice, which personifies a wanting and passion that makes

When you've been playing guitar and singing the blues as long as Paul Plumeri, you learn to do things your own way.
Naturally, since he does things his own way, Plumeri's guitar playing and singing style are distinctive.
In a blues bar setting, where he's often called upon to play tunes that have been done to death -- a situation most blues musicians can relate to -- Plumeri [pronounced plum-er-rye] takes
the standard, crowd-pleasing, familiar blues songs, items like "Sweet Little Angel," "The Thrill Is Gone," and "Red House" and makes these tunes completely
his own.

“I grew up listening to the Motown and gospel that my mom and dad would listen to around the house,” says Matt. “In high school, when all of my friends were listening to Nirvana, I was listening
to Stevie and Rare Earth. My dad’s a high school music teacher and accomplished violinist, and when he’d work long hours after school (I went to the same high school he taught at… it was awesome….),
I’d sit in the music room and play guitar for hours each night. My dad would be there to help me if I didn’t know certain chords, but I never took one lesson. I just learned the songs I loved after
school every day.”
E.B. Hawkins Band
This seven-piece "blue-eyed soul" ensemble incorporates complex chords and melodies with hard-driving grooves and big, three-part female harmonies. Think Steely Dan,
Sting, and Little Feat with a bit of Hall & Oates thrown in.

Tim Farrell
Tim Farrell's music expresses an elegant simplicity that celebrates the pure beauty of the acoustic guitar. It is a sound that has the power to captivate, intrigue and inspire. He is among the
few musicians with the unique ability to entertain an audience and inspire future generations of players. His playing infuses craft, technique, and melodic substance to create a style that transcends
genre.
Tim has shared audiences with musicians as diverse as George Benson, Les Paul, Derek Trucks, Alex DeGrassi, Rick Wakeman and Jean-Luc Ponty. His music is enjoyed internationally on broadcast
and internet radio, in-flight audio, television, multi-media and films. Tim teaches multi-generations of musicians to develop a deeper knowledge, enjoyment, and appreciation of music through
lessons, workshops and residencies.
"Tim Farrell manages to coax melodies out of his instrument in a seemingly effortless manner. Clearly picked notes hang in the air just long enough to catch in the memory and invite
the voice to start humming along." NAV Magazine
